Aquazzura designer Edgardo Osorio is excited to “reinterpret the extraordinary fashion” of Salvatore Ferragamo together with his upcoming capsule assortment.
The Italian luxurious items company is marking its 100 year anniversary as a Hollywood favourite, with the label’s items being sported by A-list royalty corresponding to Joan Crawford and Gloria Swanson, in addition to newcomers including Keira Knightley and Nina Dobrev. In honour of this bosses have requested Osorio to create a bespoke line of footwear which can hit stores at the end of November (15).
There will probably be 12 designs in complete, which is able to all borrow ideas from pieces which have beforehand been seen within the Salvatore Ferragamo line. “For me it’s an honor to reinterpret the extraordinary style of Salvatore Ferragamo for a new technology of girls,Osorio is quoted as saying by WWD. “This collaboration is essential for me as a result of it marks the primary 10 years of my career, which began in Ferragamo at 19: my first job on the planet of luxurious footwear./p>
Among the sneakers on offer can be patent pairs, as well as designs in suede, leather and cork. The flourishes the label is renowned for will also feature, so shoe lovers can count on things like lace and feathers.
Salvatore Ferragamo creative director Massimiliano Giornetti is thrilled Osorio agreed to the collaboration, citing his “South American tradition” as the right fit for what the label needs to attain. He added the capsule line shall be “ironic, playful… and unique”, while still staying true to the consolation degree which is associated with the model.
Osorio has been a lover of trend since he was a teenager, when he started interning for labels. When he was 16 he enrolled on the London School of Fashion, however he dropped out in favour of a task as sneakers and equipment designer with Salvatore Ferragamo.
