The eclectic parade of fabulous women who wore Salvatore Ferragamo sneakers inspired the spring show: “Greta Garbo, Carmen Miranda, Brigitte Bardot, Eva Peron and Marilyn Monroe,reeled off Fulvio Rigoni, of his third assortment for the Florence-based model.
Ferragamo relocated from its traditional spot inside Milan’s stock alternate to the piazza immediately exterior it – the one infamously punctuated by Maurizio Cattelan’s Carrera huge marble L.O.V.E. sculpture, affectionately identified as the Middle Finger. Swathes of astroturf were laid around the finger, contemporary daisies scattered in all places, and a raised Perspex catwalk laid over. At the finale, fashions of their rainbow colours assembled on the steps of the stock change, darkness settled, and 1000’s of tiny shards of mild were projected on the constructing, eventually settling to kind a phrase: Amo.
